Privacy Policy — Prayer Gate

Prayer Gate is made by Morning Harbor LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information.

Short version: Prayer Gate has no accounts and no servers of its own. What you read, pray and save stays on your phone. We count a few anonymous app events, such as which setup screen people stop on, to make the app better. They are never linked to you.

What the app stores, and where

• Your settings — chosen apps, translation, prayer books, focus, church background, rhythm, reminders, saved prayers, and your streak — are stored on your device only, in the app's private storage. They are never uploaded.
• Reminders and the prayer notification are local notifications scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent from a server.
• The apps you choose are handled by Apple's Screen Time framework. Apple never tells Prayer Gate which apps you picked; the app receives only anonymous tokens it cannot read. This data cannot leave your device and is never shared, by design of the framework and by Apple's developer agreement.
• Your reading record (time spent reading, verses, chapters, prayers per day) is backed up to your own iCloud account through Apple, so it survives a new phone. We cannot see it.

Anonymous app statistics

We use PostHog to count a small number of events: which setup screen was shown, the goals picked at setup, whether the paywall was shown, closed or led to a purchase, and when the app is opened. Each install gets a random ID that is not linked to your name, email, device identifiers or advertising ID. We do not record your screen, what you read, what you save, or which apps you lock. PostHog stores this data in the United States. See PostHog's privacy policy for their handling of it.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your purchase receipt — no name, email, or usage data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for their handling of that data.

What we do not do

• No account, email, or sign-in.
• No advertising, no ad tracking, no data brokers.
• No collection of which apps you use, how long, or what you read.
• No session recordings and no advertising identifier.

Children

Prayer Gate is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app collects none from anyone.
